There Is No Lyme In…
Posted on October 9, 2013
The last time I remember visiting Washington, DC was during a fourth grade class trip. I slept in the top bunk and fell out in the middle of the night, saw my first really large cockroach and loved all the big white buildings. But I didn’t remember how beautiful Union Station is, until I saw it again last weekend.
The government was shutdown and the temperature hit 94 degrees, but that didn’t stop two hundred plus Lyme disease activists from convening at George Mason University in Arlington, VA on October 5th. The event? The first annual Partners Against Lyme and Tick-Borne Diseases (PAL) conference paltad.org. The goal? To talk about how Lyme organizations can work together more effectively for national and international change.
